How do #GoldenPothos 's aerial roots grow? Or how to "con...

I want to sell some of my golden pothos' babies that's whyπŸ˜…πŸ˜….

i think they’ll start growing if you give them a moss/coir pole! pothos are naturally climbing plants and they grow better when they, well, climb lol. i think you can just tie the newest top part of the stem to the pole and it’ll start climbing up + producing aerial roots to get higher up the pole :)
I don’t know if it counts, but my pothos rooted from their vines when I routed them into my fish tank. Maybe try to prop them by routing vines into dishes/cups of water?
Pothos will root really easily. Clip off a node with a leaf, then stick it in dirt, water, or perlite or leca with water. I’m doing this with my pearls and jade and the marble queen behind it. A couple leaves didn’t take but others are already sprouting new ones!
A pole will work if you want aerial roots, but you’ll have to clip leaves eventually if you’re trying to sell them, and I think propagating in water or dirt is faster.
@raquelitaquei i agree propagating pothos is as easy as that.
Water propagating pothos is easy peasy! I put them in a little glass on my kitchen windowsill so I remember to change the water and can peep their new roots.
I’m doing what @raquelitaque described right now @Sabel ! Good luck.
@00Severijn @Mrsjenger @raquelitaque does it need to have aerial roots before propagating or is it okay to just propagate without aerial roots?
@Sabel it needs to have a node, which is at the base of each leaf on the stem. You probably want it to grow a little more before chopping it off. You’ll have a few more leaves in no time though.
The aerial roots start from the nodes. If you only clip the leaf it won’t root, you need to get a bit of stem as well. My pics show a few nodes, these would grow into aerial roots over time, like you see in the 3rd pic
@Sabel @Mrsjenger @00Severijn this is my golden pothos that started from cuttings from a plant I got back in 2004. Moved and gave it to a friend, then got some cuttings from her a few years after that! I’ve trimmed and propagated it soooo many times since then!
@raquelitaque straight up glorious
@Sabel u can find realy good videos on YT about propagating pothos.
