Dragon fruit plants in the pacific northwest

I have done some looking into this but wanted some input. If indoors in a pot would the dragon fruit plant survive and bear fruit?
I think it relatively fast for a fruit bearing tree, about 1.5 to 2 years. You'll need LOTS of bright sun. You can probably have it indoor if you have a spot that gets 6 to 8 hours of good sun. After all, it is an outside plant.

If you do keep it inside, it may take longer to bear fruit.
dragon fruit is a cactus so your best bet is to keep them outdoors (but also shield from rain) as sarah said. i’m not sure if you’ll get the same quality as the original fruit tho- many people who grow grocery store fruit seeds (idk about dragonfruit but i hear this a lot w vegetables and stuff too) always say the shape gets a bit wonky, or the taste is a bit off. i still think it’s worth a try :)
I live in the Willamette Valley of Oregon so we see tons of rain. And Temps are not usually good for cacti outside. Didn't know I'd it does well in pots or at least well enough to bear fruit.
