Cold Weather & Plants

How do I know what temperature to bring my outside plants inside?

I live in S.Florida and we are going to experience temps of low 30s at night/early am this weekend.

Will my plants be okay if I leave them outside?
I think you should probably cover them if you want to leave them outside.
You will need to look up each individual plants preferred temperature range or β€œcold hardiness.” Since I don’t know what plants you have outside I couldn’t say if they’ll be okay or not?

If they’re plants that can be moved, and they’re not cold hardy, bring them in. If they can’t be moved, at least cover them. I hope they make it through the cold! 🌿🩢
So if you’re talking about your plants in your oasis, I don’t see any that would like to be β€˜okay’ being outside and dropping that low. Most tropical plants can’t survive below temperatures of 50’s/60’s. If it’s just surviving, they can go down lower. (Generally though, most tropical plants can’t survive temperatures below the 30’s.) Tropical plants will stop growing altogether in the 30’s and go into survival mode. If you’re having fruiting or flowering, then not below 60’s generally. Otherwise, Nadia is completely correct, and you will want to look up each individual plant. You’ve got some great people helping you here! πŸ«ΆπŸ»πŸ˜‰
@Idplantthat @Forbes57 @DreamMachine after checking all of my outside plants temp. ranges, they all are habitable on the lower end 30-32degrees. Do you still think I should cover/bring them inside?
@Aantillon honestly I think it’s a matter of personal preference. For me, I prefer to bring them in. Just because I don’t like walking that line if some weird freak weather happened, or a humidity drop… but that’s me.
I’d definitely bring them in if you can. They might be habitable at low temps, but if they’re not acclimated, that quick drop could be traumatic.
I brought the babies inside. So glad I did, it’s freezing (for Florida standards) and windy!!
