I know mine is requiring a lot less water. It sits in a filtered west window. Mine is under a humidifier and the ceiling heater vent has a deflector to keep dry heat away.
If it is a humidity issue, I've had GREAT success keeping my prayer plant in a clear rubbermaid container with a glass of water and the lid left open ~1 in. for airflow. Make sure you give it a lot more air 1-3 days after watering though, especially in non-terracotta pots, to avoid root rot. I got hygrometers at Walmart for $13 each which has also helped me gauge the humidity level in the room and in my container. My prayer plant seems happiest at around 75% humidity, but it also does fine at around 50%.
