Underwatered or overwatered? Help

Hi! I got this plant from a friend less than 2 weeks ago. They said they recently repotted it in a mixture that is 60% sand.
The soil was very wet when I got it and I haven't watered it since. It doesn't feel dry yet, so I'm just snoozing the watering schedule.
Today this leave came off the plant. What's wrong? too much water? Too little? What should I do?

Its overwatered, see if there is lot more leaves like that. And did it caught the stem.
Oh no. Should I change the soil?
looks very very overwatered- try checking the roots, there’s a chance they’ve developed root rot. and what type of sand did your friend use? coarse sand is fine but fine sand will make the soil too compact.
@SabMicrowave I would recommend to do so.
Try suc mix or coarse sand as airi said.
