@plantLadyoJxx Oh nooo, poor baby looks like she’s going through a lot but don’t worry …..she can totally bounce back….. The white powdery stuff? That’s likely powdery mildew or spider mites. Both love dry air and dusty leaves. Step 1: Give her a gentle shower rinse the leaves top and bottom with lukewarm water to knock off pests. Step 2: Follow up with a neem oil or insecticidal soap spray (every 5–7 days). Always test on one leaf first!
Step 3: Trim off any crispy or damaged leaves …she’ll focus energy on fresh growth….She’ll need bright indirect light, good air circulation, and no soggy soil drama….Bonus tip: Roses like a lil breeze! It helps fight fungus and pests.Fun fact: China Roses are repeat bloomers, meaning once she recovers, she’ll reward you with another round of glowup. You’re basically her plant therapist now….You’re doing amazing she just needs some TLC and a little plant rehab moment. She’s not done blooming yet :)

Hello
Thank you for your lovely comment.
This is all so very informative and helpful advice. I will definitely put these steps into action, hopefully she will be on the mend.
I will update you with the results and how she's doing πŸŒΉπŸ’•
@JungleDreamer
Is there a particular brand of Neem oil you would recommend?
@plantLadyoJxx For neem oil, I recommend Bonide Neem Oil or Garden Safe Neem Oil Extract both are gentle but effective, and plant safe when diluted properly. Excited to hear how your rose queen bounces back! Keep us posted in coming days
@plantLadyoJxx your welcome
@JungleDreamer
Thank you so much.
I live in the UK and I don't think I'm able to purchase that brand of Neem oil. Hopefully I can shop around and find something very similar
@plantLadyoJxx ahhh Totally get it! If Bonide or Garden Safe aren’t in reach, look for cold-pressed neem oil that says 100% pure or for horticultural use.Just dilute with water and a drop of dish soap, and boomspa day for your plant Can’t wait to see your rose queen bounce back like the main character she is!
@JungleDreamer
I took your advice and cleaned up all the leaves and trimmed the crispy damaged ones (unfortunately this was a lot of them)
I've also ordered some Neem oil so fingers crossed she should be on the mend ✨🌹
@plantLadyoJxx Yesss Justine!! That’s some plant parent MVP energy right there! Cleanup crew, neem oil incoming, and she’s already giving comeback queen vibes with that bold red bloom She’s not just surviving….she’s plotting her redemption arc. Keep us posted, I feel like she’s about to slay 🫢
@JungleDreamer
Hi just a plant update 🌹 she's still looking quite sad, and a lot of the leaves have fallen off πŸ₯Ή is there much else I can do for her?
@plantLadyoJxx p@plantLadyoJxx Ohh Justine, hang in there she may look a little like a post-apocalyptic twig right now, but that’s not the end of her story The fact that you still have green stems and a bloom means she’s not giving up and neither are we.
Here’s your next tier rescue plan…. Cut her back to healthy nodes. It’s scary, I know but she’s putting too much energy into surviving on half dead leaves. A good chop triggers fresh growth. …Let the soil almost dry out before watering again. China Roses hate soggy soil, but dry roots won’t help either. She’s high-maintenance like that …. She needs at least 5–6 hours of direct light to bounce back strong by a sunny window or even outside if temps allow. No drafts, no dim corners. Keep misting neem oil every 5–7 days especially under the leaves. Wipe them with a damp cloth if needed…. Once new growth shows, hit her with a diluted balanced fertilizer (like a 10-10-10 or rose food) every couple weeks. Go easy too much too soon = drama. Roses LOVE airflow! If she’s indoors, crack a window or place a fan nearby (on low). Keeps pests out …. She’s basically in her plant ICU recovery mode, but honestlyβ€”roses are drama queens and warriors. They die back, sulk, then show up months later with a Did you miss me? bloom. Keep being her ride-or-die….. She’s not done with her story yet.

Heyy just a plant update... She is doing much better. Lots of new growth βœ¨πŸ™ŒπŸ»
Repotted and she's now in a south east facing window with better light β˜€οΈno roses unfortunately, but I'm hoping they will come back, and no sign of any spider mites 🀞🏻
Looks like aphids! I would take it outside and spray the leaves top and bottom with soapy warm water and the soil!! Then wipe the plant down as in get them off of her!!! Check ur plants chances are they may have them also!
