I switched mine over to distilled water and no more brown edges. Check on the underside of the leaves for spider mite, aphids, scale. That might be a reason for leaf curl. Have you used fertilizer? In a pot with no drainage, I would let it dry out really good, but not to the point where the leaves start to curl.
How long have you had this plant? If it's new you might just give it time to adapt to it's new environment.
