I have seen well established rainbow "moss" or peacock "fern" in hanging baskets, but for propagations sake, a terrarium would provide a more suitable moist environment. They are a very cool little plant; not a moss nor a fern but actually a spike moss or club moss a very primitive vascular plant. Use very clean water and keep it consistently moist.
