What happened? Bought this 3 weeks ago. I repotted using ...

#SilverDollarTree
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
Lots of light and well draining soil for sureπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘. I’m curious why you repotted? Was it just to change the pot? It might be reacting to the change in its new home plus a new pot.
@JCPlantProper the pot does have drainage.
@MariansOasis hi, I repotted because it came in the plastic container and I had just gotten this lovely pot :(
@letthemlive do you think it’s done for?
@MariansOasis should I give up?
I never plant directly in a decorative pot. I use a plastic pot that fits inside the decorative pot. That way you won’t overwater and you can soak your plant when needed like when temps are warm and its drying out too fast. It is better to water throughly and let top 2 inches dry out.
The pot you planted in looks too big too. Its not good to repot some plants until the roots have filled the pot and some do not like being seperated as that can damage the roots and lead to dying.
@letthemlive I wouldn’t give up! Silver Dollar can come back. Just make sure your pot has drainage holes πŸ•³οΈ. That’s most important to avoid overwatering. You could keep it in your new pot but it might be a good idea to get a moisture meter. That way you can test the soil before watering. Here’s a picture of a basic meter. You can find them on line or at your local plant stores.
@MariansOasis thank you . I do have one. I literally just moved it out to the my potting table. It hasn’t gotten better or worse. I’ll bring it back in and find a cozy place to see what happens. Thanks for the idea!
