I have two large Bush Lilyβs in the planter and each one ...
I absolutely LOVE any kind of Lilies, but I especially love the leaves on the Bush Lily π so beautiful! Reminds me of a phalaeonopsis orchid's leaves.
Normally, the best time to do any repotting, separating, etc is in spring or early summer. But I think, considering your location, it would be fine to separate them now. Especially considering it should have already flowered for the season.
What a beautiful gift for your friend β€οΈ

@Lifeis2short it was our friends plant and we went to help his sister clean his home out as he had passed and she asked if I could give her one of the bush lilies. I said I would do my best. So Iβm really hoping to get her a healthy Bush Lily. οΏΌ
So sorry for the loss of your friend π I think the transplant/separation will do really well. Just be sure to put it in a pot that'll give the roots room to grow but not more than a couple inches bigger than the root ball. It's been cooped up with several other Bush Lilies so it's likely to have a growth spurt when you transplant it. A ceramic or plastic pot would be best. These guys don't like to completely dry out and one of those kinds of pots will help retain moisture.
Hope this helps and Good Luck π
