I hear these guys can be fussy and absolute divas. My humidity is around 60% and temperatures 68-73. Any help would be appreciated! Im hoping its shipping/transplant shock

This Alocasia 'Venom' can likely be saved, but the current single leaf shown in the photo is far gone and will not recover. Alocasias grow from an underground corm (tuberous rootstock). As long as the corm and main stem remain firm and rot-free beneath the surface, the plant can push out brand-new growth.
Here is how to check its viability and rehabilitate it step-by-step:
1. Fix the Pot & Drainage Immediately
The app overlay notes "No drainage", which is the most critical threat to an Alocasia. Standing water causes rapid corm rot.
Unpot the plant gently to inspect the base and underground corm.
Repot into a terracotta or plastic pot with drainage holes.
Use a chunky, airy aroid mix (e.g., potting soil blended heavily with perlite, orchid bark, and pumice) so water drains freely.
2. Inspect the Corm & Roots
Gently feel the base of the stem and the corm in the soil.
Firm and solid: The plant is alive and ready to push out a new leaf once conditions improve.
Soft, mushy, or foul-smelling: Trim away any black/mushy tissue with sterilized shears. If the entire corm is soft, it has rotted completely and cannot be saved.
3. Trim the Dying Leaf
Once repotted, use clean scissors to cut off the desiccated leaf near the base.
Removing dead foliage prevents fungal issues and allows the plant to redirect all energy toward root development and sending up new shoots.
4. Optimize Recovery Conditions
Watering: Keep the substrate lightly moist, never soggy. Allow the top inch to dry out slightly between waterings.
Light: Place in bright, indirect light (or under a grow light) to give the corm the energy needed to sprout.
Humidity & Warmth: Maintain room temperature (65°F–80°F) and moderate-to-high humidity.
Alocasias are notorious for dropping all leaves during periods of stress, root rot, or environmental shifts, only to bounce back once their roots stabilize.
