Pitcher plants and Venus fly traps?

So my daughter decided she really wanted these, so I ordered them. Now I'm wondering what I got myself into. 🀣 Anyone out there have any advice before these babies get here? #venusflytrap #pitcherplant
I used to have a lot of them and in my experience for pitcher plants, no direct sunlight and high humidity usually keeps them happy. No need to feed them. The nectar in the pitchers attract small flies and wasps etc.. with Venus flytraps it's most important to not poke it too much as the energy when it closes without food in it is draining the plant and the leave may wilter. Both of them is a bit cranky with water quality so rainwater if possible or at least let water sit for 24 h. I'm they'll be just fineπŸ™‚
@GreenGoblin My worry with these is the warmth. For some reason my daughter's room is the coldest room.i thought to put them into the case with the other high humidity plants.
@raaspra I have both venus and pitchers, i ordered grow lights for mine, the one I got has a tray for water as well all in one. Seems to be working out well for them. They need 12 hours of lighting and yes need to remain moist. Also DO NOT use tap water, the chemicals in tap water is toxic to them. Use distilled water or collect rainwater!

Also I have my pitchers in sphagnum moss, and the venus in carnivorous plant soil. NO FERTILIZER OR CHEMICALS ADDED TO SOIL!!
@OKIEgrnthmb I love that little tray, where did you find that?
@raaspra I found it on Amazon.com!!

The height on the lamp is adjustable, has 4 light settings, and 3 different timer settings!
