what are these orange-brown spots on my tree philodendron...

is it getting too much sun, or too low humidity, or any other conditions? direct sun only hits this plant around 9-11 am. it’s outdoor; the temperature ranges from minimum 16Β°C at night, and around 28Β°C maximum at day. strong winds, humidity levels around 40-50%. i’m living in indonesia, and it’s peak summer/dry season here.

besides the yellow spots on leaves, there’s also these weird dry spots on one of the stems. what are these, and should i do anything about it?

there’s 2 new growing leaves on the way, i want to give the best care for this baby :( please help, thank you!

Hi, Kristeva! I love your #TreePhilodendron! I have one too. Mine used to get those spots when it was getting too much light. Now I've moved it and it gets filtered light all day. It sits under a 50% shade cloth.

The spots on the stems are called corking and it happens over time to give stability to older leaves. (:

I'm glad you found Greg and I love your username! πŸ˜†
@sarah10orio hello, thank you for the valuable information! i’ve moved the plant to a shadier spot now :D and also, may i ask some tips to help them grow faster? or are these naturally slow growers?
I think they grow pretty slowly, in my experience. They remind me of prehistoric plants so I always think slow growing ... like a large dinosaur.

I'm not raising my plant for immediate gratification: I'm looking forward to when I can say my plant is 20 years old! Those plants look majestic!
@sarah10orio awww that’s a sweet comparison! i will also think of them as dinosaurs from now on πŸ¦•πŸŒΏ alright then i don’t have anything to worry about! ^^ i’m gonna keep on doing whatever i’m doing right now ✨
