So for #gregsecretsanta I want to gift some propagations and plants but I'm not sure what the best way is. I know it needs to stay warm but how? Also what is the best way to ship propagations that have been in water? Sooo many questions. Plz help

For mailing live plant cuttings, this step by step article really helped me: https://thisbrilliantday.com/plants-and-nature/how-i-package-houseplant-cuttings-to-send-in-the-post/

For “regular” plants that are in pots and fully established, this is what I do to prepare them for shipping:
• Use slightly damp paper towel and/or masking tape to cover the topsoil so it won’t spill out during the journey
• Use kraft paper to wrap the entire plant including the pot
• Use polyfill to stuff down into the funnel you’ve created to protect the stems and leaves
• Surround with crushed kraft paper in your shipping box to prevent movement during the journey

For water props, you’ll want to ship them in moist moss to keep them hydrated during the journey.
@hoyahead follow Alex’s advice! The plant cuttings they’ve sent me have been *chefs kiss* with these methods.
@NewGrowth I still always get nervous every time I mail someone a live plant even though I “know” what to do now 😂 I’m just happy they’ve arrived safe and sound 🥰
Woah, Alex!! I'm gonna miss @lazyplantparent 😉
@hoyahead how do I keep them warm during shipping?
@sarahsalith you’ll be one of the OG’s that know my original tag 😎
@soupycare Uniheat pack! Just be sure not to let the heat pack touch any foliage. Some people like to put a piece of cardboard between, or tape the heat pack to the interior wall or the box so it doesn’t move around.
