Should I snip off the flower bits? If so how would I do t...

So my dad told me i should snip off the flowers so it has more energy to grow roots, but with how small it is altogether, it is in height just barely 3 1/2 inches, how would I do so without possibly ruining the process. Oh I also decided to put it back in the water to grow roots as I needed that pot for two succulents that were in some way too dry soil…and that’s saying a lot for succulents. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! #PropagationStation #FloweringPlants #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy
Hi again @LikelyChaya33 well your dad is right! Carefully pinching out the flowers will allow your cutting to focus energy on rooting rather than blooming 🌼. You’re right to be concerned where to do this as there isn’t a lot of room. You’ll look for a tiny stem coming off the flower that attaches to the main plant stem or grouping of leaves underneath the flower. Then pinch the flower off with your fingernails or small scissors. I’ll see if I can find a picture….
Ugh, it’s very tight in there with all the flower buds you have, so see if you can remove them all at the same time. Gently pinch them off with your fingernails. You want to try to preserve the very top leaf set because your cutting is small. Like right in that area where I made a black line 😶‍🌫️🫣
Don’t have an answer but it is beautiful
@MariansOasis ok so I’m unable to get to the baby buds or the bigger unopened buds, do I wait or just leave them for now? I hope this photo is clear enough, my phone did not want to focus
It would be okay to wait until they’re easier to get to. 👍
@MariansOasis ok thank you!
