Is my #CommonBoxwood sun scorched?

Question

Not sure if this is from the sun? I have three bushes and they receive Southwest sun. But I’ve had for 3 years and this is the worst they’ve looked. Any advice? Thank you!

They look burned. Was it especially hot and dry this summer? Also have the “lovebugs” been around?

Hi staceyyy!! Thank you for using Greg, I’d say they’ve definitely been through a rough summer, those dry hot and super bright conditions were definitely not too good for your bush, maybe try to add some moisture (for example a casual afternoon and morning watering with the hose, nothing special) and try to reduce as well the amount of sun your plant gets. @IdealRosygarlic I have never heard of any disease or pest that causes burning like symptoms, so I doubt it

Mine got a little burnt this summer too 😩 3-5 hours of direct bright sun I think is the most they can tolerate

Have you checked for signs of box tree moth? They devastate a plant in weeks.  Caterpillars are green and black .  First looks like scorching and then the leaves become skeletal.
