When to repot
I was gifted this tulip plant (bonus points if you get the movie reference!) as a Motherβs Day gift. How do I know when to repot it? This is the bottom of the pot she came in.

Great questionβand I totally got the Legally Blonde reference!
From the photo, it looks like your tulip is definitely root-bound (those roots circling at the bottom are your clue). That means itβs a perfect time to repot.
Hereβs what to do:
β’ Choose a pot thatβs 1β2 inches wider in diameter than the current one.
β’ Make sure it has good drainage.
β’ Use fresh potting mix and gently loosen the roots before placing it in the new pot.
Bonus tip:
Tulips are technically spring bulbs, so after they bloom, the foliage will yellow and die back. At that point, you can:
β’ Let them go dormant and store the bulbs
β’ Or keep them in soil in a cool, dry spot and wait for next season

Hey @RootWrangler Iβd toke the bottom of the stem and brush off the extra soil and put her in a happy pot or the ground (cuz it looks so pretty in the plant you tagged) hope this helps!! ππ
@SvelteShangrila if I keep them in soil, I assume I donβt water them, correct? Or if I store them, how do I do that?
