Hi everyone, is it advisable to mist my orchid? If so, ho...

#PhalaenopsisOrchid
8ft to light, indirect
2โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 10 months ago
Misting Phalaenopsis orchids is generally not advisable, as it can lead to fungal infections and crown rot due to prolonged moisture on leaves and in the crown. Instead, maintain humidity levels between 50% and 70% using a humidifier or humidity tray, and water the roots thoroughly, allowing the potting medium to dry slightly between waterings. Ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal growth.
Thank you! Thatโ€™s super helpful ๐Ÿ˜Š
Youโ€™re welcome!
@AceNoognug52 Definitely not advisable especially when you water it don't get any water in the crown, which is the very middle where new leaves come out. It could potentially be its demise.
