Yo gang, got this Fukien Tea Bonsai about a month ago and...

#FukienTeaTree
3” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
If you’ve been watering frequently but it still looks dry then it could be a sign of root rot! It’s caused by overwatering and excessively moist soils, and it affects how the plant takes up water, hence why it still looks dry! Have a look at the roots, if they’re brown, mushy, and fragile, then it’s definitely a sign of rot
Lizzie, thank you. This is not very cash money if there’s root rot. Skibbidie toilet rizz not the to max πŸ₯€
She needs waaaay more water your poor baby is very thirsty.

With your bonsai in a tiny pot they need watered so much more.

I would remove the rock covering so you can tell how wet or dry she is us is helps oxygen reach the roots to keep your tree healthy.

I water mine every 2 days granted she is in a gritty well draining soil. But these trees NEVER want to go totally dry.

When mine is growing a lot there are times I water mine daily.

It will take time and consistent watering but if her trunk has not dried out she should come back around. But the process will take time and patience. 🌿
I also have mine in a very gritty, rocky soil and if I try to cheat him by top watering he gets very dry and loses leaves. I soak mine in water about every 3 days but mine is in a larger pot than yours so you may need to soak her more often.
