Hi Louis @PrinceTeatree7 Rosemary is one of those herbs thats extremely difficult to grow inside. Just think of where it naturally grows in the coastal scrublands and hilly regions of the Mediterranean.

While your west facing window would be the best spot inside, rosemary thrives in intense direct sun 8+ hours, rocky dry soil, very good airflow, and does not care for our indoor humidity. Good on ya for trying. If you’re looking for herbs that can be grown indoors for delicious fresh herbs in the wintertime I’d be happy to point you towards some! 🌿
As Nadia was saying, rosemary doesn’t grow indoors. In my experience and other nurseries I’ve talked to, most will tell you rosemary doesn’t grow indoors, even in greenhouses they are funky. I keep my rosemary over winter in my garage. They get a little fussy, but generally I can keep them alive till spring and they can go back out! I hope this helps, and you can find a good place for your rosemary!
Yes would like to know about indoor herbs to grow?
@DreamMachineI would like to know as well. So Far i have or am growing, Basil, chives, (are they supposed to look this sparse, I used 2 packs!) Parsley,
@PrinceTeatree7 Pardon my delay, I didn’t get the notification until @DaringColtsfoot tagged me today! Thanks LC πŸ‘πŸΌ Mint, some basils, parsley, chives, oregano, cilantro, and thyme can be a little better at adapting to our indoor conditions than plants that need really full sun and warmer temps.

LC I couldn’t say why your chives are so sparse for sure, but they do not like to ever dry out πŸ’― and this one may need some supplemental Light if you have an extra one πŸ’‘
