I've propagated cuttings from my pothos in water many times! But I always eventually move them to soil once the roots are at least 3-4 inches long. Technically they can survive in water indefinitely, but they won't thrive. Without adding a hydroponic fertilizer to the water, they'll eventually lose their green coloring and just look pretty sad overall ðĒ Are you considering moving yours to soil at some point?
