What does this plant need?

Is it underwatered, overwatered? Whatever I do it keeps dying. Idk, its a new plant and I have not figured her out yet. Any opinions on how often I should water her? There are only plants on one side of the pot cause the other half died.

Hi Christy!
It looks like your plant might be overwatered. The yellowing leaves are a common sign of root rot.
Here's what you can do:
* Check the roots: Gently remove the plant from the pot and inspect the roots. If they are mushy or black, it's a sign of root rot. Cut away any damaged roots.
* Repot the plant: Repot the plant in fresh, well-draining potting mix. Make sure the pot has drainage holes.
* Adjust watering: Water your plant only when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering.
Place your plant in a bright, indirect light location. With proper care, your plant should recover.
Sounds like too much water.
