How do I get my zebra plant to grow upwards instead of ou...

I left my #ZebraHaworthiopsis for a few days and came back to it being much wider with some new growths, yay! However, when I searched up #Haworthia growth, I saw that most of them grow upwards.

I was wondering how to get mine to grow upwards instead of outwards?
1ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage

How close is it? I see the plant card says "0.0 feet." They don't need as much light as other succulents so I wouldn't image it needs to be closer.

If it has light above it's likely just time. They all grow up eventually, they just need the time to grow.

I'm wondering if the growing "out" you saw were the leaves plumping and not new growth.

You'll want to give it more light directly above. A grow light would likely be the simplest solution.
@PlantMompy I do have it under a grow light currently. should i move the light closer or increase the brightness?
Hey, FYI, that looks like a gasteria (maybe a gasteria flow or a gasteraloe) and not a zebra haworthia!
@itsjordan i got it from a plant store and it says it was a β€œhaworthia sp.” . maybe its a hybrid?
@yanudinehunyo I don’t believe the hybrids work out that way to look like that. I’ve seen people mistake the gasteraloe and gasteria flow with haworthias a LOT because there are some similarities… plants can often be mislabeled too. Does yours have sharp little teeth alongside the leaves? If so, then it is definitely not a zebra haworthia. I’ll show you the difference, the first is gasterias and the second is zebra haworthias:
@itsjordan ooo i think you’re right. thank you so much!
