What is going on with my Swiss cheese vine ???

So my Swiss cheese vines live in my bathroom and I’ve been noticing the small one slowly dying but now it seems the big one is too, this dark looking spot. The small one is nearly dead but the big one is looking thinner and thinner by the day. Losing leaves and now I noticed a similar dark spots on the roots poking out if the bottom. #SwissCheeseVine #help
2ft to light, indirect

Roots growing out of the drainage holes is a primary indicator that your plant is root-bound. If it is root-bound it needs to be planted in a pot that is 1-2 inches larger. To check if it is truly root-bound, gently remove it and inspect the root ball. Some roots naturally seek moisture and grow downwards, but if you see a dense, tangled mass with little soil, it’s time to move up a pot size.
@FabRubbercup what dark spot are you referring to on the big one? Do these plants get any natural light or grow lights? What is your watering rhythm like?
@DreamMachine the dark spots on both and my water system is just check every other day until to check if the pot feels dry
