Ovewatering issues..how long until recovery?
#EuropeanRedRaspberry
Hello, hi everyone. I really appreciate if someone can please help me?
I've been keeping close watch on this Heritage raspberry due to a touch extra water it received last Monday. Almost a week later, the lower leaves started turning yellow for the past 3 days.
I haven't watered since the problems began, waiting for the soil to dry out completely. Its about 2 days late of its normal watering cycle.
Good news: the number of affected leaves seem to be reducing, all the shoots and tips are still fresh and greenm
In supposed to replant this fella in its permanent spot. Should i wait untill it fully recover? Or is it ok to replant and let it recover there?
Plant is almost 5 feet high and 6-7 months old.

@RulerMoonflower A Heritage European Raspberry plant in a 10" pot can typically take a week to a couple of weeks to recover from being overwatered, depending on the severity of the overwatering and the overall health of the plant; with proper care like withholding water and monitoring for signs of improvement, most plants should start showing signs of recovery within this timeframe. Stop watering immediately: Do not water the plant until the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch.
Check drainage: Ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes to prevent water from accumulating at the bottom.
Monitor closely: Keep an eye on the plant for any signs of improvement or further decline.

@Ms.Persnickety thanks for taking time to reply with such well-detailed info!
Good thing I havent watered in almost a week since the overwatering incident last Monday.
Should i mix a previcur fungicide on the next watering cycle? Its been exactly a week( full 7 days) without any water. And ive been using a soil moisture tester, and its been quite dry. Im waiting for it to get really dry before i give it water as advised by Greg App.
My raspberry is about 4 feet high. Its sitting in a fabric pot ( 26cm width, 21cm depth)
I plan to water tomorow based on the amount recommended by Greg(590ml)

@RulerMoonflower You could potentially use the Previcur targeting the root zone of plants to prevent fungal diseases like Pythium root rot, after transplanting! Always follow the specific application rates and safety guidelines on the product label for your specific crop and situation.
