How do I know when to repot?
3ft to light, indirect
5β pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
@YardRose75 As I mentioned in another post, every few years if you notice the soil has dried out or if roots are growing through the bottom or top of the plant. This plant looks pretty good in its current pot. If you want a grow a fuller bushy rather than taller leggy plant, prune back the top leaves consistently. Provide bright indirect light and a light and airy but chuncky soil. Here is mine. Itβs in a 6 inch pot with no natural sun at all, only grow lights. Itβs doing great. I pinch the top when it gets too tall.
Not sure for that specific plant , but for most plants you want the pot to be 1 ti 2 inches bigger than the root ball and if you are noticing that your soil is drying out way faster than usual , or you have an excessive amount of roots coming out of the bottom then it is time to repot and if you are able to lift it up , and it looks like a bowl of noodles throughout the whole pot then it's also time to repot
@JPR i agree absolutely just wait till your seeing a good amount of roots coming out of the drainage holes and thats when you should repot!! and like they said never go more then 2 inches bigger!!
