@SlickStinkwort Hiya Michell! Let's start with the bracts turning black.A:Shrimp plant bracts turn black when they age and the plant begins to form seed. You can allow them to dry and then collect and sow. Or cut them off to encourage bushy growth and more blooms. And secondly, usually the mushrooms suggest your soil is moist and damp all the time. And that you have a nice healthy rich soil. But that depends on what type of plant it is. But shrimp plants do like there water.. Water: Shrimp plants prefer well drained soil, so you could use a well draining sandy soil. These plants will leaf drop if you keep them on the dry side so in the summer make sure to give them plenty of water (this could mean watering 1 to 2 times per week), especially if kept outside. So that means you should probably try and make your soil dryer for the next water! Hope this helps! ๐ชด โค๏ธ
Super helpful! Also, Iโm not sure if the drainage is doing good. Thereโs one hole on the bottom and 3 holes on the sides of the pot. Should I re plant it and put sand on the bottom? And I saw thereโs cow manure soil on Amazon. Should I put sand on the bottom or even sticks and the manure soil above?
@SlickStinkwort Well, usually, I just put about 4 holes at the bottom for drainage. So I think repotting would help! But I suggest to just put some pebbles at the bottom, about an inch and put 2 or 3 holes at the bottom! x
@SlickStinkwort And sorry forgot to mention about the soil.It does best in loamy or sandy soil that is well drained.
@SlickStinkwort Aww! Thankyou my love. You are just as special x
