Gifted Cactus
Hi everyone!
I was gifted this cactus as one of my first houseplants by my grandfather a few years ago. I use a spray bottle to water it and keep it in a pot with a single drainage hole at the bottom. Iβve never had any issues with it or repotted it since getting it.
Iβm wondering if thereβs any purpose to the stones on top of the soil? It came this way so as a beginner gardener I assumed it best to leave them there, but Iβm wondering why theyβre there and if itβs harming the growth at all since nobody else on this app seems to have them.

@FreeCoconut29 the rocks are pretty much decorative. I don't use them cause my personal opinion is they trap in moisture. Some would argue they don't but that's just my opinion. They're not helping or harming. Good consistent growth on your old man. π
@DesertGreen nope, seems fine. Just curious!
@FreeCoconut29 then I would leave it alone. If the rocks donβt bother you, then it seems to be a healthy relationship. β€οΈ
