Babies!! That’s how the moon cactus grows. BUT you must keep the babies connected or they’ll die.
If you want to try your hand at grafting your own cactus, you can get a rooted dragon fruit and harvest some babies then. But until then, don’t cut the apron strings yet.
@Boymom-plantmom recently grafted a moon cactus — I believe it has attached successfully! (They have a high rate of not making it.)

@sarah10orio Thank you thank you! This is the first ever I have had and she is doing so well I needed to ask and make sure I don't mess her up. I do have a dragon fruit cactus but it is super tall and leggy I think I'll leave the babies for now. Because I don't want to unalive it 🥺
