Dots?

Hi guys!

I just discovered these small dots on the back of a leaf. Does anyone know what they are? I cut off the leaf, but now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. Appreciate any help! πŸͺ΄β˜ΊοΈ

Those are little spores, that is how the fern reproduces. It’s ok if you cut off the leaf, but it’s not something to worry about overall!
If you cut the leaf off, you may as well cut off all leaves and kill the plant (don't do it LOL). It's because these dots will appear on every leaf. It's natural, it's how this plant grows.
Take the leaf and rub it over fresh dirt or bare spots in the pot to drop the spores onto the surface, and it should propagate new baby ferns πŸ˜‰
Cutting off one leaf won’t hurt. 😊 but yes they are spores and how they reproduce.
