@NursesRock88 Hi Kayla ☺️ Is your Wintergreen an Herb or a totally different plant?
@princesspitstop I honestly don’t know. I found it on a Hike in North Carolina.
@NursesRock88 That's so cool! We lived in Upstate South Carolina for 7 years before moving back to Texas and it always amazed me the plants that would grow wild in the woods like Passion Fruit, Fern and mushrooms! Not a lot of that going on in Texas besides the wild black berries. Lol Do the leaves smell when you rub them between your fingers?
@NursesRock88 Look what I found!! Yes, the leaves of spotted wintergreen (also known as pipsissewa or striped wintergreen) are edible and have been used as a snack, flavoring, and for tea. Pretty cool right? 😁
@princesspitstop They don’t. Or not yet anyway. I’m going to try to grow it in the greenhouse and see what what happens.
