@TryApple67 Are you keeping the soil continuously moist, not soggy? Dehydration or Dry Soil: Black currants thrive in moist but well-draining soil. If the soil dries out completely, the plant will struggle to push water to the edges of the foliage, causing the margins to dry, curl, and turn brown.
I agree with Monika, but it could also be sunburn which is at a higher risk because of underwatering! The leaves also look a bit droopy as well, not like they should which points to the issues above!
Cheers to you both. I thought it might have been overwatering. I check the hydration level regularly with a meter. The surface is dry but 3 inches down it's reading as wet. I've put extra drainage holes an inch from bottom of tub👍
