Hi Cynthia! Roses thrive well outdoors where they can get at least 6 hours of direct sunlight! Good draining soil, watering at the soil line to prevent fungal issues. Ive always had my roses outside in the ground and they got sun allllll day long lol. Iām not sure roses will grow to their full potential indoors but I personally have never tried.
