Hey Lucy! A moon cactus is actually two separate plants. The green plant on the bottom is a dragon fruit cactus, and the red one has been grafted onto the green one. It doesn't have any chlorophyll, so it's dependent on the bottom plant for survival. Grafts don't last forever, so eventually the top plant will start to die off. But the bottom plant can go on living and thriving with proper care.
