@PoetArrowroot56 Hi Teri, Unfortunately it's not going to grow out of the top portion. But instead will randomly put pups on the main stem alongside the others. I would trim the top of the stem down a little above the top pup without removing either one of them. Cutting the stem back a bit might make it redirect the energy elsewhere. My Dracaena was a rescue and freaked out when I repotted it and gave it new soil. A couple of side pups decided they weren't going to hang around and after a while it started growing new pups. They are slow growers so you just have to be patient with it.
