It should be fine. Whenever I behead (I know, it sounds so sad!) my succulents they tend to make little rosettes, or shoot offs, all over the original plant. You should eventually cut off the new pup as well, as it seems to suck the life out of the mother plant, or it’ll be thicker and stronger than the original stem which will weigh the whole plant down. But it should be fine for now, just sit tight and watch it grow. If it’s making another rosette, then it probably already has roots
@FairyFly i have propagated a couple different succulents and sometimes they put out a new plant before roots. The stem you propagated might not even get roots but the rosette will and become a whole new plant.
@FairyFly also, when propagating them keep the soil moist until rooted then you can water like a normal succulent
