Ah, I would've left the yellow leaves. The plant might be using them as sacrificial leaves that they store any toxins they are getting in so the rest of the plant stays healthy. Idk if this'll help, and I'm definitely not a professional :)
Might be a humidity issue. I mist mine twice a day, but donโ€™t use tap water. Rain water out distilled water. Theyโ€™re very dramatic.

@ChosenTejocote I have been even when the soil is moist. You could also try a humidifier near by they help also.
