How fast do self-heading philodendrons grow?
I've noticed my self-heading philodendrons (giganteum, melinonii, rojo congo, birkin) seem to put out new leaves slower than my trailing philodendrons. Examples: My red congo and giganteum have just put out new leaves, around 2 months after the last new leaves. My birkin and melinonii haven't put out new leaves yet. I got all plants at around the same time and all had new leaves just out when I got them. Is this normal? In the meantime, my trailing philodendrons have put out several leaves already.

@Arashi1118 https://happydiyhome.com/philodendron/. This link should be some help to you. But they are slow growers.
When I'm dead, I'll quit learning! You just taught me something. I had to look up self-heading.
I think it depends on several factors. I see that you have your plants well cared for, but maybe they just don't have their happy spot yet. It's seems a silly thing to say when clearly you are taking very good care of your plants. Your oasis looks incredible!
You got all the plants about the same time, but are they the same age? Are they getting the same light? Are they all getting the same growlight?
I know Birkins will need a bit more light with those variegated leaves. I keep mine close to a west window behind a few more plants.
My Red Congo is near a west window behind some other plants and it's pushing out HUGE new leaves.
I think perhaps they might need to be moved about until you can find their own happy spot.

@KikisOasis Thank you for the link. It's an awesome read and it did say that self-headers are quite slow growers. @sarahsalith Learned the term while researching about the red congo. It's my first philodendron and got it because I learned self-heading types; didn't really want to get trailing ones... at first. Haha...
I think you also have a point about location but I'm a bit limited in space, so I probably should just be patient.
