Oof I’m killing it

It’s turning brown and mushy after a repot - I need to repot again. Guessing it’s root rot. Any tips for the next try? I did succulent soil but I think I’ll try more perlite and definitely go with Terra cotta

If it is root rot, then you need to remove all of the affected roots. Soak the remaining in a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution (1:4) for at least 5 minutes. Throw the soil away, it is more problems than saving it worth. Clean the pot really well, if you plan on saving it. Make sure you focus on drainage, perlite in addition to succulent soil is a good idea. Use a moisture meter to determine when to water rather than a schedule. Good luck!
Yes, go with a bigger pot & more perlite also you might want to divide the plant up & plant in multiple pots. Just an idea, oh yes on the clay pot
