Hello Rachel ☺️ I’m sorry to hear Madagascar doesn’t seem to be the most happy at the moment ☹️ May I ask for further clarification what type of soil it’s in and how often you’ve been watering it? Jade crassulas (your species of African bonsai) are considered succulents and as such aren’t very tolerant of any consistent moisture. If its soil is not a particularly well draining medium and is not allowed to dry out completely between waterings jade crassulas can quickly fall victim to stem rot as they are accustomed to drought prone environments and as such store the majority of any moisture they receive in their foliage 🪴
