How do you know when to repot my fairy plant?

@YardRose75 The rule of thumb is once every few years or when the roots are growing from the top or bottom of the plant pot. I think it’s time for a repot for your plant if it is still in a 2 inch pot. I’d go to a 6 inch pot. Syngonium grow very fast once they are established so I’d go up 2 pots sizes from 2 inch to give it room to grow. Here are mine. I have a small one in a 4 inch pot, a few larger in 6 inch pots and my largest in a 10 inch pot.
for syngoniums i actually find they much rather staying in water rather then soil ive had a few of mine do this in soil and so i switched to just water, if you wanted to try it ill give you a little how too…
so you will want to remove your plant from whatever you have it in and get as much of the soil or whatever you have it growing in off of the roots..
next take it to a water source and wash the roots thoroughly while still being gentle as to not damage the root system too much as it will shock the plant…
one all of the soil or whatever it was growing in is off of the roots get a small glass jar or glass container of sorts and put the plant into whatever you choose (preferably something that will keep the plant upright)…
next step is optional you can add some smooth pebbles into the container to almost where the roots meet the stem, again this is optional i just think it kinda holds the plant in place a bit better so its not wobbling around…
you then have to add your water preferably rain water of distilled water as tap water has chemicals that damage roots.
add the water till it covers about 2/3 of the roots. this is how i have grown my syngoniums and they are absolutely thriving they constantly are pushing new leaves and are getting more mature leaves

and these were only recently moved to this type of set up(the previous photos were of plants that have been in water for months) as you can see they dont look great but they are just adjusting to having to grow water roots. if you try this method make sure to only let the water get about 2/3 up the roots and no where near the stem as you will risk the stem rotting. im so sorry its so much reading but i wish you luck!!
