Alocasia Red Secret blooming???

Guys I have been neglecting my plants a little and had been following this funny shaped leaf coming from my alocasia red secret but I think it’s a bloom?? I didn’t know they bloomed! Is this one I should cut off so it doesn’t use too much energy?

Yes! Alocasia Reds can bloom! In the spring in warmer climates they can produce flowers!
Wow so will this be a flower? Or is this separate??
That’s amazing!!
I AM SO JEALOUS!! Tell me your ways wise one! Pictures is mine 😩😭
@Megansjungle bloom is a synonym for flower. This is about as unfurled as they get before they're spent
@Megansjungle Most people cut the flower off, unless they want to collect the seeds. Bc it takes a lot out of the plant to bloom and to produce seeds.
@Boymom-plantmom I honestly have no idea what I did. Lol. I had it under a grow light on a shelf and noticed it was getting pretty droopy. I thought maybe the shelf above was too low and it sensed some pressure so I moved it near my aerogarden whose light is pretty bright and it still wasn’t very happy. So I moved it to my west-facing window with my other plants and it immediately lost a leaf, but then this guy came!! Tbh I hadn’t watered it in a while and it’s been doing so well! Idk!!
