Can a Sago Palms be planted outside

Depends where you live . You can’t plant it in the ground if you get a lot of rainfall.

Don’t know what zone you live in, but in zone 8 they are a very common plant in outdoor landscapes. You should research to see if your zone is a good fit! :)
Yes, she can absolutely be outside in your area. You have about the same weather as I do, beside your humidity. Which will not hurt her. Just make sure to have her planted in well draining soil.

Rainfall will not hurt her as long as her soil is well draining.

Indoors you have to be more careful about water because there is limited airflow and controlled temps. Which causes plants to hold water longer.

Mine happily outdoors.

We also get freezing temps in winter and it will drop into the 20's. We have never had an issue. In fact she's huge!
