Looks like itβs from under and over watering. It definitely happens.
When a succulent is overwatered, it gets plump and almost soggy. When itβs under watered, it will dry out and leaves will flatten, curl, turn yellow or brown, etc.
As your plant grows, it will chang in what it needs, making it imperative for you as a plant owner to monitor and assess.
My favourite piece of advice that Iβve ever learned for every plant is:
Measure the amount of water you give your plants and make a note of how they respond to them. And once you find that groove, stay in it, increase your moisture as your plant grows and study the measurements necessary for your plant at each stage of growth.
Donβt water your Kalanchoe if you notice that the soil is still damp. Wait until the soil is mostly dry, the top 3 inches should be dry for succulents because the drought gives them time to refresh for the next drink.
Also, try a clay pot! It helps absorb any excess moisture and is very forgiving with people who may accidentally overwater. Definitely keep a pot with drainage.
It should also be repotted some time in the spring to help it continue to grow!
Hope this helps πππͺ΄

@MamixFuego Thank you! I just bought this from a nursery a couple days ago. Iβm going to get a new pot for it this weekend. I havenβt watered it yet, but the soil was really damp when I bought it.
@SweetstSerenade okay! Give it some time to get acclimated in its new space and you should be okay! Sometimes the plants are overwatered before it gets to us which kinda sucks, but in my experience, Kalanchoes can be pretty forgiving π. Hope your new baby starts to thrive soon!
