My Schumi Red Peperomia is doing worse than when I got it...
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Every couple days one of its few leaves is going all floppy and dying. It has some tiny baby leaves. But I’ve had it for two weeks and it’s doing worse than when I found it and not growing at all. I repotted it immediately in a plastic pot with a drainage hole. Miracle grow potting soil. Indoor plant food fertilizer, watering it regularly, it has a full spectrum grow light that runs for 12 hours a day. Nowhere near the ac, 2 feet away from an eastward window. What more can I do?

4” pot with drainage

Hi! I have one of these, too. I’ve found mine doesn’t need much water to be happy—about 1/4 cup every week or so. Also, that pot looks like it’s too big for your plant baby! I would recommend a 3 or 4” pot—it will help the soil retain less water, which will help the roots breathe. They really don’t like wet feet. It’s also beneficial to add some perlite to the soil to aid with drainage. Let me know if you have any any questions, I’m always happy to help 💚
