I would guess fungal. Spraying it down with Neem or another anti-fungal soap couldn’t hurt, either way. Have you checked the roots at all? I’m not totally sure about the dark liquid. It could just be from transpiration which can be slowed down by less watering. It’s a beautiful plant, I hope it recovers!🤕
