Pest or fungal?
My heartleaf has recently started changing all different colors. Some of her older leaves are turning pink, some yellowish with dark spots? She looks sick is the best way I can describe it. No visible bugs, I don't think it's pests but I still wanna cover all my bases. Does anyone know what this is? TYIA ❤️ #PestControl #help #HeartleafPhilodendron
@AloesAndElves what is her water/light situation?
@AloesAndElves I’ve been seeing the same thing on my heartleafs as well. It’s a mixture of golden yellow and pink. Maybe because we’re both seeing this that it’s normal. Hopefully someone experienced can answer.
@debbiedo under a grow light for 12 hours a day for the past year and a half, water when soil is dry
@debbiedo the leaves aren't really shedding, i'm most concerned about the spotting. She hasn't lost a leaf in a long time. What is firing?
@AloesAndElves If it's older leaves turning pink, that sounds like it could be light stress. It depends on the strength of your grow light and far it is from the plant, but that's really the only thing I can think of that would cause mature leaves to develop a pink flush. I specify mature leaves because new leaves are always pinkish at first, then turn green as they age. Do you know the strength of your grow light?
@stephonicle here's the specs, i moved her to an east facing window 2 days ago. She was about 8 inches away from the light
@AloesAndElves Firing and shedding are the same thing. The leaves lose color and eventually die. I agree with @stephonicle thst light stress is the other likely culprit.
