@HisLobster Two different types! The plain green leaf and dark trunks are just typical elephant bush, although their trunks can turn red when really sun stressed. The ones with really red stems and white/green leaves is the variegated version of the elephant bush! Age does play a part too, since theyโre like mini trees their stems harden and become more brown and bark-like
@itsjordan Always teaching me something, Jordan! ๐
@itsjordan Thank you for your response. I appreciate it. This is my favorite succulent cause I love ,love the pink/red stems. Even the green is vibrant. I received this for my bday from my sister last year. I almost killed it when I used neem oil on it to treat spider mites. Now I'm propagating to make more. ๐
@TinaRedchic my elephant bush is also my favorite (: theyโre such sweet plants!! Mine recently had an oopsie with too much light, but itโs getting better ๐ตโ๐ซโฆ happy propagating new ones ๐ฑ
@HisLobster very pretty!!
@TinaRedchic Can you not use neem oil on these plants?
@Ginasplants sorry for the late response. I used Neem oil on this cause it had spider mites when I first got it. I lost about 1/4 the of the leaves in the following weeks. It took months to get that full look again. Could be coincidence? I use distilled water in a spray bottle and spray the plant fully once a week. It keeps the mites away. Good luck to you! ๐
@TinaRedchic Good to know! Mine is losing its leaves and it got me thinking maybe bc I sprayed mine with neem oil. Thanks for the tip!
@TinaRedchic Do you spray all of your plants with distilled water to keep the mites away?
