Pests on Coffee Plant?
I've had this coffee plant for a couple months and noticed what I think are pests on it. I'm not sure what they are or how to get rid of them without hurting the plant but they are slowly multiplying, as pests do πͺ²
Any tips on pest identification and how to get rid of them? #PestControl

Ugh, they are mealy bugs and I have the exact same issue on my two Arabica Coffee plants.
I researched on how to treat and bought a one quart spray bottle and added 1 tablespoon pure neem oil, 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol, 5 drops dish soap, and filled to the top with water. Spray this all over the coffee plants in the evening a few times a week (being certain to get under the leaves). This should kill the mealy bugs but takes time and patience.
You can also take a Qtip or cotton ball doused in alcohol and smother the larger bugs (the white fuzzy ones) by contacting them directly with the rubbing alcohol. I do this daily on my coffee plants.
Good luck!!

Damn Mealy bugs! Wash plant with a solution of water with dish soap and alcohol. Spray it all over leaves and stems and it's ok to let the solution go in soil. It doesn't hurt plant to leave on. But you can take plant under the shower to wash all off using your hands, gloved. Keep an eye out daily because they come back. Check the surrounding plants too.
@Becki I should have added to make sure you donβt spray any neem oil on them during the day (you probably already know this) because it can cause sunburn on the leaves.
