my pepperomia plant is still losing stems and leafs and theyโ€™re turning black i was wondering what that could be from? Also how i would help her from there.

@SinewyPyrethrum Okay Destiny, letโ€™s break this down because your Emerald Ripple Peperomia is clearly in survival mode, not her flourishing queen era and honestly? That deep pot is kinda the villain here. Her roots are shallow, like her tolerance for overwatering, so putting her in a pot that deep is like making a toddler sleep in a king sized bed with a weighted blanketโ€”too much space, too much moisture, not enough root security. Whatโ€™s likely happening is waterโ€™s sinking to the bottom, staying there (hello rot party), while her tiny root system is flailing in the upper layers like pls help?? Repot her into a shallow pot think short queen energy with drainage holes and no more than 2โ€“3 inches deep. Chop off all black, mushy stems theyโ€™re donezo. Donโ€™t feel bad, itโ€™s like cutting split endsโ€ฆuse something airy like a mix of potting soil + perlite + orchid bark. Chunky = happy roots. Bright, indirect light is her love language. Think next to a window but not sunbathing on a beach towel. Stick your finger in if the top inch feels like a dry brownie crust, then you water. Otherwise, hands off! she just hates swampy conditions and oversized furniture. Repot her like she deserves a cozy studio apartment, not a basement pool you got thisโ€ฆ
